I ended with this shot because it reminds me that the measure of a life is not how many breaths you take but the beautiful moments you are blessed with that take your breath away.
This little Blenny is the product of 30 minutes of laying on my belly in the sand waiting for the little coward to come out and say hi.
In this photo you can again see the pink sponge at the bottom of the photo in the center. The Scorpion fish is resting his head on the sponge. The dark line above the pink sponge is the Scorpionfish's mouth above that are two small black dots, his eyes. Above that large "curri" or plumes extend up. This fish is a stealth feeder. An unsuspecting fish will wonder by and in a flash he's lunch.
This turtle is just resting on the bottom. I see him a lot and I'm convinced he has made St. Croix his home because he's to lazy to do the open ocean turtle thing. He reminds me of some of my layed back friends.
I've run into this little turtle before. He is always happy to see me and when I start shooting he always has to make a close pass by me to check out the lights.
I wish I could take this clump of Social Feather Dusters home for the kitchen table decoration.
